Im sooo pissed off with the clubs that are on offer here in Mansfield (Nottinghamshire). Iv now been going for a year and i think the stress has finnaly been building and i let it all out last night, when i left the club "liquid" early because of Ian Van Dahl having 4 consecutive songs played one after another, then followed by a bit of "it's getting hot in here" :whip: I left straight after this (1am) disapointed. It started songs from early 90's, then rap, then Ian Van Dhal had his own little slot, and then rap after.
I don't go to GC because non of my friends are really "into" trance that much to pay that amount of money and to travel, and the only person who would go with me is my brother, but he's only 16 - but he's started going clubbing now and hasn't been rejected yet!!!
Whats the local clubbing scene like everywhere else? Does everyone else have this problem coz its really pissing me off, how the fcuk can u dance to "boom boom shake the room" lol?????? I'm lost for words:nervous:
By the way, hey to all UKTA. Im matt  , a newbie. I've been searching Ta for a looooooong time (1 year and a half) and "finnally" decided to join. Hope im welcome:D |

| Get a train down to Nottingham on the Robin Hood Line, pretty cheap and takes u right to the middle of Nottingham (the train station, believe it or not), not much trance, but certainly no Ian van Dahl!!, 'the lost weeked' often have hard house trance nights though, check it out..... |

I know there is "The Works" and "Ocean" as the two main clubs in nottinham. Ocean, when advertising play some pretty banging tunes on the radio so, although i may be lead to a false sence of security, sounds my best bet. I know nottingham really well 'coz i used to live there:p
Where is "The lost weekend" situated in nottingham?

| well sorry to rub ur nose in it but im in a pretty good area, i got passion 15 miles one way and gods kitchen 30 miles in the other way, + i dont mind travelling distance! i only really have one local clubbing mate but aslong as ure not alone! but local town, which everyone i no goes up, basically spend £30 a nite, get drunk, feel next morning, do it again next week, im like the only one who does go and they all think im some boring larry! all the music is the tyipcal rubbish, lasgo - something, wanky van dahl reason, bit a hard house, u no the score! so u aint alone! |

Sorry matt, but u have clearly been mislead. Ocean is the smallest, trampyest, hole in the midlands. It lets young drug addiccted teenages in, and it costs no more then £1 to get in yes £1. the music is poor comercial cheese.
The clubs to go to in notts are: the lost weekend (playing hard house/trance) with the likes of jfk/jules/lisa lashes
and the bomb which is home to a mix of House + deep sexy house.
Then there is media which was the founder a home to renaissance for 12years unti a management fuse lead to renaissance leaving media which was the founder to the likes of sasha + digweed, if it wasn't for them we wouldn't of herd of either of those 2.
Now it is home to a n oldskool/breaks night on sat. and a retro funky house night on thursdays, but basically drive the extra distance to coavile to get hold of passion@ the emporium which has residence FERRY CORSTEN & ARMIN VANN BUUREN & visits from james holden, JFK, John '00' Fleming And Tall Paul |
