this was at a warehouse, not a club...
twilo felt like a warehouse, especially with pillars lining the middle of the dancefloor and the wooden floor bending beneath your feet
in fact everything about twilo was warehouse, all except upstairs by the twilo store, the bubble seats. mainfloor bathroom was a mess, ceiling would drip water, they even had a free water fountain.

These guys do their thing 2-3 times a month sometimes, on top of some similar promoters doing a once a month type thing :)

yeah i been outta the loop for years so digusted with the NYC scene, this is the first event i've been by these cats
as for the few times i did make it out in the past few years nothing came even remotely close to capturing this type of gritty combination of space, crowd and sound that originally sucked me into this whole thing
for after hours that is
but thats just the flavor i like

This was a great party and my first Blkmarket party- the place was pretty far but the spot was very cool and the crowd was cool and diverse. I actually had a feeling that the crowd would be more grungy but I was totally wrong- you had your mix of everything as well as have some pretty sexy woman in that place. The ratio for guys and girls actually seemed higher then usual techno spots. The music could have been a little louder and some more fans would be cool- but overall for an underground party I really enjoyed myself. The lighting in that place was sick - freaking disco ball lowering for the crowd to touch is just crazy lol . I will try and figure out how to post my videos here as well.
Ida was even more beautiful in person, I think she did kill it - but at times early on it seemed that she messed up a few and the very acute crowd seemed to notice but still kept the groove going on- I really am impressed with Adam and felt around 3-4 am he started getting darky and dirty was when he really got into the groove. It was a very cool night and I even met some TA members lol.

Damn, I'm wish I could have made this, but I had a camping trip set for that weekend. I love that spot, one of my favorites! Sounds like everyone had a blast and the music was on point. Couldn't expect any less from that line-up and blkmarket. Oh well, getting drunk in the woods with some old friends for a few days was fun as anyway, plus I saw a bald eagle catch a fish! lol

[QUOTE=ReenTeenTeen]I rarely write reviews for no special reasons but for a local I must say that blkmarket did an outstanding job, from my point of view, other then stacking two more pairs of speakers in back of the venue. (had to be some reason or another) Besides bringing back 20 year old warehouse memories, I haven't been to a NY party of this nature in a long while where I loved every ticking moment being there. Lets just say I haven't went dancing the least of eight straight hours since VC on 28th but I just haven't happened to be at a right place & right time lately. Anyway, thanks to all the peeps that put their back and effort into this/these events, DJ's that molested the decks, my body & soul and all the things throughout the night that resolved to nice memories.

What an amazing party, that disco ball is mesmerizing. The music was top notch as usual and I'm glad I made the trip all the way out there, I absolutely love this location. The crowd was the perfect size, if it had been any closer to Manhattan, it would have been a cluster and way hotter than what it was.
I'm kinda hoping the Sasha party happens in a warehouse again.
