joined :D Just like everyone else here, I find all this REALLY upsetting. The nightlife in this city is why I moved here in the first place. If it's gone, why stay? |

Thank you! Please invite your friends list and encourage others to do the same. We are going to organize a media campaign with press releases based on this group. |

Will do. I already "shared" the group on my fb page, along with the Toronto Star article about it. I will be spreading the word as much as I can as well.
If this goes through, the city we all know and love will never be the same again. The future will be boring, and the population will be OLD. No young ppl are going to want to move here anymore. It'll also affect our tourism... Idiots. |

It HAS gone through. It had no media attention whatsoever. There was a little thing in the star just before it passed and that was it.
The goal now is to undo the bylaw by getting candidates to pledge that they will repeal the law and then we have to vote for these candidates. |

Oh ! Wow. Sorry, I'm at work and haven't actually had a chance to read through everything yet. Brutal. I love how these bylaws get passed all the time, without ever being voted on by the public. Our opinion never seems to matter. |

No ones opinion matters. They just want your money and if you don't pay you land up in prison or just a bigger bill to pay. |

But they do now! Oct 25 is the city election. They are listening because they want our votes! |

Very good point. I really hope that ends up working in our favour on this one! *fingers crossed* |

You had your vote at election time. You vote for the people who you want to represent your opinion and it is up to you to voice your opinion to those people and to keep up to date on what is going on. The problem is very few young people vote, especially in city elections....if you don't voice your opinion then by voting then you don't have a right to complain after that. So how many people here actually voted in the last municiple election. |

This will be my first municipal election in Toronto!
I just moved to Toronto this year so I will definitely be making my vote this year in the municipal election! I was previously in Mississauga, and we all know that voting there municipally doesn't matter!
