When classical and electronic cohabit at the Molson Coors brewery
Stirred by the desire to present a concert in an unusual setting and context, Kent Nagano has conceived the brand new series LES CONCERTS OSM ÉCLATÉS, innovative ear-opening evenings that explore divergent concepts. The first concert will be presented by Molson M in artistic partnership with MUTEK on Saturday, October 16, at 10 p.m. in a prominent place in the history of Montreal, the Molson Coors brewery. The OSM will be sharing the stage with guests of MUTEK.
Kent Nagano, who since his arrival in Montreal has been interested in the city’s historical structures, had the idea of matching up the universes of orchestral music and the industrial world. To that end, not only will the OSM leave the concert-hall circuit but it will be joining its forces, in collaboration with MUTEK, to the talents of practitioners of electronic music. This first-time-ever encounter of contrasts promises to be memorable. |
