I find variation is the key, at least to getting her to a certain point. Gently suckling inner thigh and outer lips, sideways movements over the clithood, spriralling from the outer lips to the clit and softly tickling the clit hood with your tongue all keep it interesting and nice, but once you get her to a certain level, pick a routine to stick to, and dont think that if she is responding well that you should neccessarily increase the speed or pressure of what you are doing, most women arent like guys in that respect and keeping the same rythmn prolongs the buildup a bit.
Getting a finger in there is a bonus, doing the 'come here' movement to get her g-spot, or my fav corkscrew type method of rotating your finger as it goes in and out.
