Just know that I've been here since I was 5 (31 years) and have never had any kind of instruction on Spanish spelling or grammar.. |

I've been here since I was 4, and Spanish is my second language, but my Cuban father packed communism into the suitcase next to his underwear when we moved... My sister and I got the slap upside the head as children if we ever spoke English in the house. |

I'd like to do the same to my daughter but it helps when both parents speak the language.
I was born here in Toronto, but my mom & dad both made sure I learned how to speak/write/read it. |
