This is a bit like some of the stuff I make. It has elements of a lot of things in there i.e. Techno, Tech Trance and even Electro House. Nothing bad in that. Actually on the contrary, it makes this track stand out.

What I would like to see in this track is a pounding bass as the bottom end is very weak.

The way I see this track is that it's more one of those tracks that would work in a club but may not work on a compilation if you see what I mean.

Kick and bass needs more beef so break out the oxo cubes!!!

Cheers
Nem

EDIT - With more bass this is the sort of track I would happily rock out on the dance floor. Keep me posted on this one.

Nem - this is extremely helpful to me.

I want to add a searing high layer to that lead alarm sound in the break I think.

BASS - I'm a bit stuck - any chance you could give me an example of what you think would work - maybe something on youtube.

KICK - well I've been making tons for this track - it was more pounding before and I reigned it in. Again what would you have in mind.

Lastly thanks for the confidence boost - I make melodic stuff but keep getting bored of it and ending up turning those tracks into this sort of thing because in my (tiny) mind I want to make something different - I just connect better with my stuff if to me it sounds a bit odd and different perhaps.

Nem - I just checked out your track on youtube - 'Strange Obsession' - that is one heck of a piece of textured evolving work. Nice. Love the many turns it takes - thats my natural style to produce like that but I got put off as some used to say I needed to keep tracks simpler.

How do you make those vids and get a youtube channel like that - is it some sorta special artists platform or something?

This is exactly why you need to worry less about what other people say about your tracks.

A natural style should be nurtured.

the quality in this track is very very poor. the bass follows. in my opinion you need to mix this down a lot better.

Way too short to make any proper judgements, chap. Solid so far, but that's all I can say.
