Their final London date of 2010, Above & Beyond’s showpiece event at Brixton Academy on Saturday 30th October is already an unavoidable proposition for any Above & Beyond fan but now it is also a once-in-the-lifetime opportunity for one talented, unsung DJ.
Teaming up with Letsmix.com, Lock ‘n’ Load events and Above & Beyond are offering you the chance to take to the decks at Jono, Paavo and Tony's biggest ever UK show.
Reckon you have what it takes? Then create a 30 minute mix that captures your sounds and skills at their best and submit it via Letsmix.com. In order to have your mix heard by the Lock ‘n’ Load and Anjunabeats jury, you need to gather 50 votes (mix ratings) from your friends and fans. Entries will be rated primarily on musical programming but also competent mixing ability and remember: the idea is to set the musical mood for the evening rather than banging it out too hard. Other than that, it’s all down to you and your selection.
The winner will perform a warm-up set in one of the three main spaces of Brixton Academy, London, UK on October 30th, 2010. They will also receive VIP entrance for themselves and three guests of their choosing, a bottle of champagne, a personalised signed CD from Above & Beyond and a commemorative event T-Shirt. Competition starts on September 16th, 2010 and closes at midnight on October 7th 2010 with no exceptions. The judge’s decision will be final and the winner must make his or her own way to the event. Saver tickets: With a significant proportion already claimed, we are strongly expecting saver tickets to completely sell out by the end of the month (September). If you are definitely coming and haven’t yet bought yours yet then do so now to avoid paying more than you need to.
