anybody heard of this??? just saw it in a blog today. it's basically a moving dance party for parents and their young kids, but in some cities they are doing it in legit clubs like Ruby Skye in San Fran and Le Poisson Rouge in NYC.

http://www.babylovesdisco.com/about/index_new.htm

and to be honest, the 'About Us' page reads JUST like the flyers for events and festivals I have been to...pretty funny!

"The fun spills out from all corners of the club: bubble machines, baskets of scarves and egg-shakers, a chill-out room (with tents, books and puzzles), diaper changing stations, a full spread of healthy snacks and dancing, LOTS of dancing."

incredible idea...i have never ever had a maternal instinct b/c the very idea of popping a child out of my vag and it ripping my soul out with it never appealed, but if there's some other forward thinking parents out there with ideas like this, maybe theres some hope..
I saw this cool travel club for parents with kids age 1 to 3 years that centers around keeping the kids entertained and exploring different destinations based on age group to key in to a baby's different cognitive responses, but also to engage the parents need to not be in baby-world all the time (the idea of reliving those obnoxious learning years IMO blows and I have zero patience, so if I'm learning something new at the same time the kid is, cool, nice compromise). Also gives parents the alternative to being trapped in the house 24/7 with a bored screaming kid ting and pissing everywhere...and sucking your soul.
