I have a feeling about half won't finish which is why I let 16 enter. I few of the people never visit here and I didn't let anyone know by pm that they are in the competition as I only wanted regular members so if they don't come and check on here regularly to see this post, well chances are they won't enter or even know. I would say about 5 people will finish a track worth judging so your odds are pretty good.

Say what? How did the contestants know they're in? :conf:

Although it is highly possible I'm a complete retard - again.

Read the first line of the entire thread.

:D ssss. I pm'd you but didn't exactly provide a link, but you replied to a thread where I was begging for criticism of my track. I'm confused, but it won't really hurt me if I'm not in, which I do think.

I did arbitrarily change the rules. At first I was only going to allow 8 spots but around 16 people sent links to tracks that were more or less the same level. So there will be 2 judging stages. It also will help make up for the fact that some people won't finish despite saying they will. Kinda like what the airlines do.

I started working on my track like a week before I was even accepted and I must say I'm liking it so far.
I was fishing through tunes on youtube to get some ideas and wound up trying to do an alphazone type shuffle. I have some very low panned fx that play under the shuffle and they groove perfectly with dips/offsets in the timing/velocity of the actual shuffle. It prob took me like 40 hours alone just to get it where its at now.

At this point I gotta start working on my first break and where I wanna take the tune after that. Not really sure though so I'll prob go back to youtube to get more ideas. I tend to do that alot as it helps organize the 10 thousand different ideas I usually have at once.

Finally had some time to get started...looking forward to this.

Yeah I was actually slacking off on this cause I started another track but I've taking the drums from the track and I'm going to make a start on this.
