New Apt is next to some generator, can the low frequencies damage my ears? (pg. 2)

I think you should tell your landlord you're moving out because it wasn't clear that this noise would be a problem when you visited the unit. It was probably off, and the landlord didn't tell you it's usually on. Im sure he/she knows, because Im sure it's been a problem in the past. And you need to demand your deposit back.

Man up.

Anyways, I can't sleep at night. You know the buzzing sounds neon signs make? Imagine a stronger one. Since I have good ears from producing and stuff, I can hear the lows, and its like almost a very small but constant low sine bass. It's like a loud beer neon sign with a bass frequency that goes through the walls a bit

Is this going to be damaging to my ears in the long run? It's annoying the hell out of me. I want to go down to the office and see if I can get them to shut it off @ certain hours, or get a discount because this is ridiculous.

Ragardless if it's physically damaging, it's mentally damaging enough for you to argue your way out of your lease. I'm sure if you can measure the dB level of that low wave, it'd be strong enough to argue that this can lead to long-term hearing loss. But again, a low sine wave is the most noxious sound, and you shouldn't have to be stuck at this new apt because of that.

I couldn't sleep last night for a variety of reasons but one of them was a drip coming from outside. Finally at 4 am I went outside, found that sucker and duct taped it up.

So yeah get out of there - having your sleep messed up because of noise sucks.

Too late; it has already scrambled your brain.

Become one with the sound of the generator. Breathe in, breath out, and resonate with it.
