Mac recording/sound editing software

I am looking for something similar to soundforge, I want to record something and traktor record is , so I was looking for a good alternative for soundforge on a MAC.
Any ideas appreciated :p |

| if you are using hardware, the garage band that comes with your mac is not bad. |

| i don't know if you can route traktor (don't use it, don't like it:p) to it though. It will deffo record via line in. |

audacity is great, just cos it's free doesn't mean it's krap!
soundbooth would be another option, not sure if it can do what you want tho, never used it. |
