Replacement for Ableton Live Drum Rack?

I just recently decided to make my studio completely legal (maybe a bad idea, I'll have to wait and see) for whatever reason. I guess it just seemed like I should.
I had purchased Ableton Live Intro a while back, so I finally decided to install it. I didn't think it would be that bad, just a few limitations I could get around by exporting projects into several parts, using more sends as opposed to effects on each track, etc. What I did not think about is that the drum rack is unavailable in Intro. Now, this is a problem because that leaves me to use Impulse as a drum machine. The issue with Impulse (only one I've encountered thus far) is that effects are applied to all 8 samples, as opposed to single samples (like drum rack).
Long story short, are there any samplers out there (free would be best, or at least cheap) that work much like Ableton's Drum Rack, or at least, allow you to effect individual samples?
As far as I can tell, Ableton doesn't sell the drum rack by itself, so I suppose I would have to buy the full version of Live to get it. I don't have $329. |

| you can route impulse brotha (in a desmond voice)! drumracks have only been around for a few years, prior to that we all use to route impulse to different channels. make a new audio channel set the input to the impulse channel and the secondary input to the corresponding sample :) |
