“Dentist by day, DJ by night.” Eddie Thoneick has had an amazing run. From a successful dental practice in his native Germany to a successful music career across the globe, there’s not much more the guy could ask for.
A student of the guitar, bass, piano and drums, it’s sort of ridiculous to think where he found the time to go to dental school. Or is it ridiculous he found the time to produce music? Sorry we keep talking about it, it’s just, where have you ever heard of something like this? Seriously… we’ve heard of hobbies, but a hobby that turns you into a world-famous DJ/Producer? You are the man Eddie.
And what makes things that much better is that his music is amazing! And it gets more and more amazing every year. The first time we heard Eddie Thoneick was his track ‘Freak’N You,’ which sampled 90’s R&B crooner Jodeci’s song of the same name. Since that time Eddie has progressed, evolved and reached the tipping point of mega stardom. His slew of releases this year, including the smash hit ‘Live Your Life,’ with Eric Morillo are, each and every one, house music gems.
We’ve seen German trance rise to the occasion through PvD and Cosmic Gate, we’ve seen German techno take flight through M-nus and now Eddie’s soulful yet thumping brand of house will bring Germany’s grip on EDM full circle.
Thursday will be sublime. Don’t miss it!!
