Depends on which zombie lore you adhere to. Personally I don't think it's fair that zombies are faster than people given that they are just decaying flesh and that there would essentially be thousands of them.

While I agree that they wouldn't be insanely fast given the limitations of decaying flesh. Not fair doesn't seem like the greatest argument in a zombie apocalypse scenario.

Now it's a 'care' package from Stu.

That means I'd have to open it :nervous:

Just sayin, slow zombies make way more sense than superfast zombies. I guess it depends on which kind of zombie apocalypse we're encountering here. Is it the dead rising from their graves coming back to life? Or is it some kind of infection on already alive people? If it's the latter I can see them being normal human speed at first (possibly slightly faster due to the nature of the virus...if that's your thing) then eventually slowing once the body starts breaking down.

For any serious zombie connoisseur it has to be Romero's rules: slow zombies and worldwide reanimation of the newly dead. Zombies have limited reactivation of neural functions which is why they are slow and ungainly, rather than their physical state.

I agree with Romero's rules, he's the originator imo. There are detractors that like to get all Resident Evily with though

Nail file!

Its enough to keep you off some airlines in the more backwards countries so they must be pretty lethal.

The detractors are idiot geeks who wouldn't know a good horror film if it bit them on the arm. There's a reason why Romero made his zombies like he did.
