I see. Still not my thing though. If I knew exactly what I wanted to watch then maybe - but only if I don't have to pay a monthly fee. But like I said, I like going to the store.

Zip.ca still works for me; 2 BluRays per month for $10 plus they are adding downloadable service in the next few months.

I won't get Netflix until they release the Xbox integration in Canada.

the thing that sucks about using stuff that streams is that all ISPs have a monthly bandwidth cap. if we had unlimited bandwidth i would be all over this.

teksavvy doesn't.

If you want more bandwidth. Just switch to Teksavvy and get MLPPP. Double DSL connections. It will cost you, but you get up to 10 Mbps (down) - 1.6 Mbps (upload) for $84.

unlimited bandwidth ;)

Or just sign up for their cable internet service which is 54 bucks and unlimited.

That's a nice deal. How does it work? I'm assuming you have to pick the movie you want to watch a day or two in advance?

You're an idiot. Open your eyes when you read. When did I compare how fast one can read on a screen compared to a book? MY PERSONAL PREFERENCE is to read a text book in hard copy b/c I don't like STARING at a screen. Plus, I can bring a highlighted textbook into an exam, can I bring a computer? No. And it's funny you mention PDFs, b/c one of my profs gave us the textbook for free on CD. And I'm printing it out b/c I want a hard copy.

What the are you talking about fake people?

And again, open your eyes:

And FYI, my biggest screen TV is not as big as my biggest monitor.

I find a lot of hidden gems that way.

When it comes down to it, it's called personal preference. You like staying at home and downloading movies, I don't. Deal with it. There was no reason to jump on me right from the start. I'm done with you, enjoy sitting in front of your computer screen 24/7.

Holy . This girl cannot be more oblivious. This girl literally, takes everything literally.

How else was she supposed to interpret what you said? You blatantly criticized her opinion of preferring to rent movies...if you were trying to be sarcastic about it, you obviously didn't do a good job...

My Bell Sympatico is on contract and locked at unlimited, never going to change it!

My only downfall, is that it's not as fast as I would like it (500kB/s - 700kB/s) especially to stream movies... i'm currently trying to have them not touch my plan/package but increase my speed, if that pans out YA!

Netflix thing is not my thing, I can download whatever I want and stream it through my PS3 or burn it to a DVD or CDR and watch on my Divx player... so it's not a win for me...

But I will sign up for ease of use and the price for my mom so she can watch a movie whenever she wants without hassling me or my bro to find it and set it up for her...

Plus you watch it through your Wii or PS3 or Laptop... why the not!
