| hardstyle (german style HH) is also on the rise in holland, up to the point where it's so popular/commercialised that some audiences only want to hear cheesy Hardcore/Gabber covers :mad: But I shouldn't complain :) |

| Yeah it is big there. You come to Canada and all you see and hear is hip hop and pop music. And if trance music gets played on the radio or TV it's always lame cheesey mainstream stuff. :mad: |

n switzerland is trance very popular as house music.
The biggest Techno Partys are Trance.
Streetparade 1'000'000
Energy 35000
Mainstation 100'000
Motion 25'000
Goliath 22'000
Evolution 15'000
On the radios in switzerland only the youth radios stations played trance :-(
We have about 10 really trance clubs in switzerland.

-gate one
-d-lite
-top 10
-sky
-alcatraz
-....
In Oxa every Month played there TA like Dumonde, Judge Jules, Blan & Jones, Cosmic Gate... |

in portugal the only trance there is it's psy/goa. And it's growing fast! But trance as we know it (melodic, progressive, hard) doesn't exist at all. You see cheese in many compilations at the stores, but not in TV. The only real trance cd's I ever seen on a store here on Madeira Island was Trancemaster.
Biggest electronic music scene though is house, by far. Although some of the best techno dj's play regularly, it's not as popular by no means. |
