| I really like Matthew Dear but after i saw him play live at Sala Rossa on his Asa Breed tour i'm a little hesitant on going again. I think the problem was that there was literally only 50-60 people in a place that held about 250, maybe it was hard for him to get into the groove. I heard Greg Paulus from No Regular Play will be joining him on horns on this tour, so that's cool. |

I saw him do his thing in the hottest venue known to man... I mean a hot-assed second story of a brewery in TO when the AC had shut down three days previous and the owners decided that two (2) oscillating fans were good enough for a crowd of 700. Everyone was dripping wet and slow, I mean, mole-ASSES, and even the DJs were showing tell-tale signs of heat exhaustion (floppy fingers, the rub, and open sores around the brims of $400 translucent visors) and, well, by all accounts I and the people around me that weren't dancing and weren't conversing and moving like GERI all decided that the show was going to be like donkey , generally uninspiring. And the M. Dear got up and ing destroyed everything. Ferocious tech. Mean, like hallucinatory tech, angry ... awesome. I definitely suggest seeing this dude at any opportunity. His set in San Fran two days after I moved there was a nice touch too.
Paix.
(PS: please note the enthusiasm of above quip. I am very enthused.) |

He's like Superpitcher , they both make great music but they could share the vocal duties with some other artists from time to time. |
