Hi all,
was wondering if anyone can recommend a good loop library containing only shaker and hi hat type loops to put over the top of an already constructed beat.
cheers, |

Unfortunately I don't have a great library to recommend to you...
But what I can say, is while you're searching for the library, it may be a great time to open your favorite synth and play around with making the sounds yourself. Not only that, but taking a microphone (even a cheap one) and recording yourself making the sounds with adjusted gain can yeild some very surprisingly realistic results. Throw on a little bit of white noise with a sharp attack and it'll sound almost like the real thing =p
Granted, you'll still want to layer that with a good sample most of the time. |

Just grab any drum loop and put a HPF.
If its already over a beat you wont really notice the other drum hits. |

| If you have reFX Nexus, the Dance Drums expansion has hundreds of hihat and shaker loops. |

| Vengeance Essential House collection has a folder of real hi-hat loops that are 8 bars long, those sound quite nice |
