Here we go boys and girls, my new track I've been working on for the past few days.

Guitars are a new thing for me to use but I'm pretty pleased with the result.

Let me know what you think

The idea is there the mixing is not. Are you using headphones? Absolutely zero bottom end for your kick and bassline.

Musically the track is good but the mix needs some work. Your chord changes should be felt from when your bass changes but the mix just doesn't allow it.

Keep it up again very good direction :)

Hello mate, sorry about the massive delay in my response. I kinda forgot about this place for a while.

To answer your question. Yes, I use earphones and have attempted to use a spectrum analyser in the past however the app I'm using [TrueRTA] doesn't seem to work properly.

I've made a couple more since this one though, I think I'm getting a handle on it a little better these days. Although you pros out there can instantly tell if the mastering is off.

You could try auto-mastering programs such as T-Racks or Ozone. Also, you are probably going to need a pair of studio monitors. I had the EXACT same problem when all I had were studio headphones. Even if they are the most expensive kind, they still wont show the complete mix, and the studio monitors fill that gap.
