Recorded this yesterday after being inspired by SYSTEM-J's mix improper trance..took me back to my teenage years listening to that mix, being in college and carefree (well to a degree) and how things have changed, especially music of the electronic kind..

i had the idea for a challenge that i was going to propose to the DJ promotion that if we had a slot of about an hour to play at trance energy...say like 2000-2003...what would you play? of course this thought only occurred after reading that trance energy would not onlyplay trance but other electronic music as well so it would be named 'energy'?..that basically means - trance is dead and its all house now or off.

so i've built the generator :) i should of called it 'Trance Generator' really.

Not very busy at the office today so I put this one on. I must say, at first, I thought the sheer amount of lasers would be overwhelming when I got to the ian van dahl/binary finary business but the rest of the tracks were actually really solid. I'm not really sure if I was a big fan of the Lizard mix, but that's just my opinion. I must point out the sound quality, it seemed pretty poor in a few areas, but I assume that's just the rip quality of your selection.

Lots of melodies, lots of nostalgia, and lots of lasers in this whole thing. Flow was standard trance, mixing was also pretty harmonious in most places but a couple transitions had a bit of a hokey feel. Still, nice job on a straight up unicorn set. Most of the way through, I felt like my arms were going to break! \o/ :p

Thanks for the muzix.

thanks for the commentz guise :) i realised the quality was a bit e because i fuuuuuuucked up my encoder settings, so i have uploaded a better version this time round..

i is trying my hand at harmonic mixing but still need to train them ears like MONKEYS.

might do another one of these in the near future, i had much fun and nostalgia doing this one :D ha. maybe even pilfer a trance energy intro from a set with that man saying THE YEAR IS 2000...YOU ARE ABOUT TO EXPERIENCE THE ENERGY OF TRANCE....you're going to love my nuts.SLAP.CHOP.

This thread is win on so many levels.

Apart from bringing massive lulz (PvD :stongue: ) it also brings the ing PLUR!
Anyone playing RMB can count me in, even if I think this version is nowhere near the brilliancy of the original Redemption.
