this night really needs to be moved to July or August, it's way too cold for the weekend they do it :( walking around on a summer night is 1000000 more fun!

Nuit blanche to me seems more an opportunity to go on a fun, random all-night adventure with good friends through a downtown toronto when it is still alive with ppl and activity despite the hour! All the cool and miscellaneous sights or "things" going on are more of a bonus "neato" factor to your night-walk thru Toronto, instead of being the "reason" for your night-walk. ;)

agreed completely

I said this sooo many times Saturday Night. Like honestly.. is having it during cold weather absolutely necessary?? Even May or June would be better than October

even the weekend after Labor day is still warm.. I'm thinking not May cos it doors open, but June would be great!

Well.. there must be something special about doing it the first weekend of October since so many places around the world (Paris, Brussels, etc.) have held it for numerous years around this time.

I never knew that we're trying to coordinate it with Europe :) considering the different time zones, I think it won't hurt anyone if they moved it a few weeks up..
Intangible
I like it in October. For the most part each year has been pretty decent weather - this year was by far the coldest. Just dress smart - lots of layers and enjoy a nice fall evening.

Plus its good for the city as summer tourism dollars arent coming in.

(ps... if you were cold you should have drank more ;) )
FunkyCrew
well why not take advantage of warmer weekends? :) and leave the layering for Halloween weekend..

Wow what a boring night.

Horrible to showcase toronto like that.

so much buzz for nothing.

Was wondering whether it would be like this.

MAY go next year, may not.

I wonder if this year will be any better?

(Time for someone to start a thread...)
