HOMEGROWN is an event that has decided to shift the focus from overseas to DJs residing within the USA.
This is a 9-hour party starting at 10pm til 7am every 2nd Friday of the month and whose objective is to showcase the amazing talents of DJs that are being overlooked by other events just because one doesn't live in Berlin, UK, Amsterdam or what have you. In essence, we believe good music is good music, regardless of where you come from.
At the end of the day, this is an event for the scene, by the scene. The best part of it is, HOMEGROWN DJs know already what you like, and how you like it.
For our first foray on Friday October 8, we present Palette Recording's JOHN TEJADA (Fabric 44, Octopus, Buzzin Fly, Soma).
The best part about JOHN TEJADA, who lives in Long Beach, is he is normally associated and mentioned in the same breath with his peers in techno from Detroit, Europe and elsewhere.
John Tejada has embraced electronic music as a personal frontier, expanding on his resume as a techno recording artist as producer, remixer, DJ, and label owner. Known for crafting a brand of subtle, musical techno, his recorded output ranges across tempo and genre lines, from chilled out affairs with spacious arrangements to pulsating, densely layered, deeply energetic tracks that work magnificently in the hands of DJs as well as on the home stereo.
So on Friday October 8, join us for an after hours of amazing cutting edge HOMEGROWN music. And simply put, get ready to dance.
