| The melody doesn't sound anything like Café Del Mar. It has two repeated notes that go "duh-dih", which is sort of like that part in the Three 'N One mix. Never mind what those notes are or what follows them, it's a plagiarism! |

Easy there killer, didn't say it was plagiarism. I was just pointing out how the melody sounding just like Cafe del Mar counted as an additional factor in why I think this track isn't very good. |

| I'm just getting a bit bored of "Track X rips off Track Y" statements, and variants thereof. The melodic backbone of all trance is repetitive note patterns, arpeggios and so forth, and it's inevitable that some of these are going to reoccur frequently. |

I really don't give a if people nick samples and melodies to be honest, as long as it's used to pull off a good tune in the end.
The reason I brought this up here is that I never liked the Three 'n One Mix of Cafe del Mar, partly because that melody always got on my nerves. |

Yeah, I was always a bit surprised that it was the most successful mix. The hook always sounded "washed out" because of the synth they used, and the melodic side in general wasn't as good as some of the other mixes. I hope there's a remix somewhere that uses the melodic parts from Kid Paul's mix, because that's the best mix melodically. Shame the production has aged so badly. |

I always felt that Marco V's remix was one of the worst. Even though I like quite a few of his remixes that one is probably one of his weakest.
The best remix of Café Del Mar IMO is Ivan remix together with both Oliver Lieb remixes. |

Yeah, I'm a big fan of what Lieb did with it. Also really enjoy the Universal State of Mind mix, as well as Kid Paul one. |

| getting back to the original topic: always thought the Protoculture remix was ok, but prefered the original and ace ventura remix over it. Listening to the samples of the new remixes it even seems to me it's one of the weaker remixes |
