I'm not sure how U.S. prices compare to UK ones but it seems like a good deal. Your gonna get a lot of people telling you to buy yamaha HS80's instead but i think at that price i'd go with the KRK's.

Wrong forum, but the answer is no. There are better monitors available at the same price or less.
Pop over to the production forum and you'll find at least one current thread on there discussing exactly this. |

| I listened to the KRK's at GC and wasnt too pleased. I winded up buying the JBL LS2325's and I absolutely love them. You can get them new for just under 400. Its preference mostly... but I would recommend finding the nearest Audio store that sells Monitors and hear them before you buy them. |

Congrats!!!! I did exactly the same thing and haven't looked back. I am really impressed with my JBL's, especially with how little adjusting I had to do going from hifi speakers at home and possibly the most expensive monitors you can buy at work. |

behringer truths just got upgraded with a kevlar bass. might be worht checking out.
i can also recommend genelec 8020 if you dont need to play loud and dont have a big room. great nearfields. |
