This is how I see it: If you want to attract people to an event, you need to build the night the around locals first and then bring in the international talent as guest DJs. You can't just throw unknown international bookings at people and expect them to be interested! Not in this city at least, scene is too small. Takes over a year to build a solid night...
That is why they keep bringing the same international acts...to make sure that a solid number of people will show up and diminish the risks of losing money.
This is Montreal, not Berlin... or NYC!

Dude, Sander has been utter for years now so obviously your idea of a DJ with "good reputation" is not a good one.
I'm saying in general.

One of the best quality nights that I can think of is defenatly "Black out" with creator. Always great music with some top bookings!

Got to love and wish you to travel to Berlin: Berghain.
Loving this city, going there twice a year and it is exceptionnal.
Music, people, vibe and all the rest :)
In my opiniont, a great night in Montreal is Calderone but apart from that, it takes a lot to fill out a full Stereo.

I don't doubt it. I just think that one track is a little much.

Saw him spin at the Guvernment in Toronto, and he.. REALLY isn't my thing, but ... what a set. Just non-stop hard techno assault, it's definitely something you need to experience in an afterhours environment, way too fast for anything else hahaha, he was at 135-140 the whole night... liked him a lot more then I thought I would.
