Well personally i think, that balloon /monstersound(pulsar crew trance mix) is a pretty good remake! And The Rewinder VS Rockstar - Pro-Gen (Move Any Mountain) is also nice done! Some of those remakes are not good, but some are really well done!

Well, airscape is always an exception to the rule, although ive never heard the original "kiss" tune, but im sure the remix sounds nothing like the original... But for you to actually like a tune, and then for someone to change that tune up really sucks and it makes me not like the original one either... I dont like the changing of music genres- from one genre to the other.... remixes of electronic to electronic is fine... remixes of pop/alternative/etc... to electronic suck!!

delirium - silence is a remix of a sara mclaughlin original:)

oh really... I never heard her original.. but that probably would be an exception to the rule...

Holy !! Thanks for this! I listened to the original soooooo many times..

Only those who know me personally know this but it was only recently that my trance collection was more than my eurodance stuff :D

How about when they take classic music and change it into trance.....i think thats wonderful....its like combining soft music with fast music.....old music with new music...
i think it sounds really nice....and im not talking about
trax thats named for exampel
DJ Attack - Bethooven (Super deluxe techno mix)

Agreed... eyesofdarkness :D The remake is actually considered quite a classic among some people in the SF bay area scene.

Swamper, have you heard the TE Mix of Dannii "All I Wanna Do" yet? If so what do you think of it? I bought it back in August 1997 just for this mix, I absolutely played it to death at the time! I think it sounded way ahead of it's time!

As for the John Lennon "Imagine" trance mix, I downloaded it. Pretty cheesy, but I still like it!

Have a listen at Muse - Sunburn (Timo Maas Remix), the original is quite a new tune (muse are just breaking out i spose.. but they are a rock type band).. the remix is kinda wicked!! But u have to have a bit of an open mind for it :D
the piano sample in it... wicked stuff heheh
