Newcastle train station. It's above "Central Station" metro station.

It's only a wee walk from Telewest, maybe 1/2 a mile, if that.

The vast majority of people travelling to this will come either via that station or Gallowgate coach station.

Radio One are doing their Essential Mix at Shindig on the other side of the city, the same night as this event.

There is a pre-party for Shindig on at the Quayside (some club called Stereo, I've never heard of it) on at 7pm. Pete Tong is playing. Apparently it is overlooking the Millenium Bridge so it should be easy to find. Is anyone going? I'll keep an eye open for after-parties too, the bar opposite Central Station usually plays some proggy music after the Telewest to chill out to from about 6am onwards. If anyone is prepared to stick around, Sunday Trading is on from 4pm - 10:30pm every Sunday; it is ran by local DJs but would be OK for an after-party. I'm not entirely sure where it is though, some pub in East Newcastle called "Egypt's Cottage".

I heard the Playrooms might be having an afterparty, either for this or the November one. If anyone has any details let us know.

Unfortunately since DuMonde cancelled at Promise, Scott Bond and Richard Tulip will be the DJs the night before Telewest.

Burns, the Promise listings for next month are:

4th: Talla 2xlc, Hardwick
11th: Signum, Gielen
18th: Scot Project
25th: Guy Ornadel

Shindig has Satoshi Tomiie too late next month which should be interesting :)

I just heard some really horrible new about this event, man its really bad !

EACH DJ WILL ONLY PLAY A HOUR SET !

That seriously has nocked me sick ! :(:(:(:(

£32.50 for one hour of Tiesto ! :(:(:(

That's because they have so many good DJs to get through. In March they had 1 hr 30 mins each I think.

With so many DJs though, one or two (hopefully Tall paul) or someone might pull out, giving Tiesto or someone more time. You never know!

Tiesto seems to like Newcastle :) , I found this quote from him after playing at Shindig last year:

-------------------
"Well what a night we had on the second leg of the Dance Anthems tour last night, Newcastle showed us why they've earned their place as the home of Love Parade 2001 by being so up for it there was sweat dripping off the ceiling. The Foundation nightclub, home of Shindig, was packed to capacity by the time I arrived around 7pm. By the time we went on air at the later time of 9pm the place was rocking big time."

Vincent De Moor and DJ Tiesto, who were really flying the flag for Holland, put on Stirling performances whipping the crowd into a frenzy. DJ Tiesto who has been whisked into remix stardom following his inspirational mix of Delirium's 'Silence' told me later that he was blown away by the reception of the Newcastle crowd.

"So what made the night special for me? ...Answer...the crowd! Even the crew working on the show were dancing away and when the lights came up nobody really wanted to go home."
------------------------

Sounds like Foundation alright ;)

Nice One, I smell trouble like...Ste + Luke = Tiesto haters with a Passion !

Hopefully Tall bastard Paul, Fergie & John Kelly will off & not show, Does any-one actually want to see them anyways ?

evil_bastard
John Kelly has a habit of playing either mint sets or really sets. Pot luck really.

I hope Tall Paul and Fergie have an accident on the way, or take a wrong turn and end up in the West end of Newcastle, preferably Benwell or Scotswood!
Az
Gielens cancelling all his UK dates apparently, and rescheduling them for early next year, that was his reason for Frisky anyway :(
