| i know you probably wont ever check on this thread again, but how were you able to pull off a 16+ permit? |

Because it's Live 105. As I said before, if this was some EDM promoter it wouldn't be happening. Go Politics.
That said, it looks like a fun lineup. Hope it goes well, for all our sakes! |

Such a stupid comment, those two deaths did not occurred because of the event, they occur because the people taking the drugs could not handle their . Don't blame the event for the stupid things the attendees do. |

dont be so oblivious man...i knew the two guys who passed away. would they still be alive if pop didnt happen? YES durrrr. would they still be alive if skills had provided more than one room for people to be in so it wouldnt be so damn stuffy n hot? Possibly. cow palace is a horrible venue, the circulation in there sucks. would they still be alive if the venue didnt run out of water? possibly. the two guys weren't fresh young ravers, they knew wsup...they could handle their . i would know. i dont wanna say pop caused it my bad, but the poor management of the promotion company/venue didnt help.
but in other instances, like..EDC...i dont blame EDC/insomniac...its outdoors so there's plenty of circulation compared to cow palace...this girl just drank a load of laced water and got messed up...shes 15, has no idea whats shes doing so yeah...it that case i would blame the girl. |

I decided to go here basically at the last minute. I didn't expect much but ended up pleasantly surprised. I got there after 9 and despite a seemingly long line was inside in around 15 mins. Venue was packed, TONS of kids, but everyone was smiling and having a great time. There must have been some really great E going around because from a "vibe" standpoint it was a huge step up from other massives I've been to recently. Periodically there would just be random cheers of joy that would gain more and more voices as they moved through the halls... some classic raver right there.
They did have some big problems though, specifically last call at 10:30. Pretty WTF decision... it didn't bother me too much because i was DDing anyway, but my friends definitely wanted to drink more. The sound was pretty weak overall, but especially in the side room where it was pathetic. Putting booka shade on at 8:00 was sad, and they (live 105) still can't seem to figure out how to string together two acts on the main stage without needing some joke radio DJ to fill in a 20 minute gap. Lack of ventilation was a problem too, as you could see a haze of raver-sweat in the air almost wherever you went.
Musically, I missed Booka and enjoyed some of DJ shadow but i'm not that big on D&B which he played for most of his set. Underworld were pretty sick, but the set of the night was probably MSTRKRFT who had the biggest crowd of the night and completely blew the out of the main room.
Overall it had lots of the problems commonly associated with indoor massives along with some new ones they created themselves, but the sweet vibe really helped make up for it. |

| Why was Booka Shade given such a horrible time slot? Does Live 105 not know how awesome they are? I missed them and I expect people to QQ about this. Big mistake, otherwise, a great night. |

Yeah, I can see underworld, dj shadow, and mstrkrft going after them, but Aoki? Really? Obviously catering to the 16+ crowd with that move. |
