Hi, I'm Jonny. I've recently started producing my own tracks, just before summer to be exact, and I was referred to this site by Owsey2008. Just thought I'd introduce myself to the forum with my most recent track (my 2nd ever track) and some feedback would be splendid :)

Nice work, but does sound a bit like a work in progress as it is a little empty, but then the melody is quite jazzy so does kind of work.
A nice peaceful number.

Thanks for the warm welcome, I appreciate the kind words! I'll be sure to post here regularly and post my work here in the future.
Yeah I guess there is room for improvement, and as I havn't been producing for that long everything is a work in progress (in a way) at the minute so I appreciate the feedback :)
I'll re-upload if i work on this track again!

Hugely impressive for your 2nd track I'd say. You already seem to have a good ear for music, as well as details and concept. I actually think it sounds more minimalistic than empty, and that it works quite well.
The mixing could be better, but that's simply a matter of messing around with equalizers and paying attention to volume levels over time. It's only your second track after all. I personally find that mixing at low volumes makes it much easier to hear when something is too loud or not loud enough.
With all the helpful and talented people here, I'm sure you'll enjoy these forums, both for production advice as well as good music. |

I really, really liked this.
