ATL Lounges/Martini Bars/House Clubs??

| Hey y'all! I out here on business and I'm looking for the more upscale establishments here in ATL. I'm looking for a positive vibe/atmosphere, cool people and great music here in Atlanta. What would you recommend?? Thanks in advance!! |

The Westin has a rotating bar and lounge at the top. It's called The Sun Dial. Nice place to chill and get a view of the entire city.
But ya...I go to sports bars...not martini lounges. I go clubbing for trance music...so I don't think my nightlife advice helps you really. Sorry. |

I get that.. I'd like to avoid Opera at all costs!! Unfortunately their reputation precedes them.
Its also unfortunate that Liquified has tarnished their good namesake from the West Coast out here in Hawtlanta.. |

I moved out of Atlanta in May, but that wasn't TOO long ago, so if they're still around I'd recommend:
1. Octane Coffee in Midtown West if you're looking for some chill background music and a cup of coffee or a beer.
2. Mid-City Cafe has good Monday mojito specials, and it's a pretty cool little spot.
3. Cosmolava in midtown is a nice nightclub. It has a few different rooms with dance floors, but it maintains a more laid-back vibe that most clubs.
4. Havana Club in Buckhead has a stupidly pretentious door (douche bouncers, strict dress code, etc.), but once you get inside it's actually a pretty nice place. It's the most Vegas-style club I've been to in Atlanta. Parking in the area can be a pain, though. Most side-streets are permit-only.
5. I've read good things about the bar in the W downtown (the one with the heliport), but I haven't been there myself.
If all else fails, just look up some reviews on Yelp. :-)
P.S. So Ferry's ATL show got cancelled? That sucks. He used to come to Atlanta like twice a year. |

He had to postpone after the DJ Mag Top 100% announcement party was announced for the 27th of October. We are working on another date right now. |
