Aren't humans great? Instead of looking for shelter and picking up our bug out bags, as soon as a earthquake strikes we go tell everyone else on Facebook how awesome it is to feel the earth shake!
(Incidentally, that was the very first thing I did as well :p) |

i just ran outside and stood in awe with my friend.
but yeah it's hilarious - first thing after watching that we did was google 'los angeles earthquake' every 2 seconds until we saw that earthquake.gov websites report on it. then after reading that, calling my dad, and talking to some friends (all took maybe 5 min) i was on facebook . didn't post anything though - i saw so many people had already done that. |

| Haha, it was my gut reaction. I felt everything shake and I was like "Is it just me?" went out and looked for more quakemates and when I confirmed two other people felt it, I rushed back into my room and posted it on Orkut (Brazil's favourite social network) :D |

Last time an earthquake happened in Los Angeles I could tell in almost realtime what was going on by reading facebook status updates. I was in Seattle at the time. It reminded me of that The Onion video of the college party fire that was caught on a million photos because everyone took pictures of everything with their phones. Or something. I'm not sure...a little wasted now. |

| I wouldn't like living in Brazil. Snakes, earthquakes, funny language (Portuguese) & Brazilians :( (everyone except Lira :o ) |

Haha, if you think Portuguese is funny, wait until you hear me speak :p
And believe me when I say the weather is what I hate the most about this country. Though Brasília rocks (it's a wonderful place to live) and the weather is even bearable, I wish it wasn't so warm during the rainy season :( |
