I'm not sure what you think a "cosmic atmosphere" is, but I love trance that has that sort of sci-fi vibe to it.
I find that most of the trance that has that feeling to it is psychedelic or goa trance. Most goa has a very earthy/organic vibe but there are those tracks that sound spacy. Though it's almost a cliche, I think this is a great example:
That is, in my mind, a "cosmic atmosphere". Besides that I think you should look into ambient music as well. This is good and the album is free at Ektoplazm (great website if you like psy kind of stuff)

and Cosmic Baby of course. Actually, almost anything you listen to from MFS Records back in the early 90's will sound pretty cosmic. Tranceformed from Beyond (1992) is a great example of that, I recommend buying it right now since it's really cheap. When I bought it was like $30, I'm seeing it for about $10 now :wtf:
