I've lived there mate for a while and it's gorgeous. As far as Clubs and parties go well i didn't see anything major while i was there as i wasn't really for that reason but it's mad. Heaps of british and israeli tourists all up for some fun. it was great, I went out for a swim once to get out to an old wooden fishing boat and nearly died when i mistook the distance involved (ay carumba). Man the sand under my feet on the beach never felt as beautiful as that day lol

Panjim is the centre of Goa but don't worry about things. There's heaps of buses going there from Mumbai and everyone knows the tourists are all going down there so u'll get sorted.

Some tips.

1. Watch your luggage carefully and watch your money as indians are pickpockets extraordinaire

2.Never accept what any taxiwallah (Driver) tells you as what you have to pay, they'll tell you anything to get more money off of you so if he says 50 ruppees tell him you'll give him 25 and eventually you'll both come to 35 so be aware of that.

3. Don't drink water unless it's from bottled water and only if u buy it from a store or you'll get a BAD case of Bali Belly. It's not nice at all

4. If you have any banking or business to do expect it to take half the day to get done. Lifes just like that there

some lingo to tell the taxiwallah who doesn't know much english (relax most do know passable english)

Geldi - Faster
Rita - Right
Lefta - U got it... Left
Bas - Stop

Anything else you need to know give me a buzz or pm me

****EDIT\\ Oh you've got family there do you? Well then you should be right then heh heh \\EDIT****

I have a friend from Calcutta.
From what he tells me, everything as far as clubs go, are in the 5 star hotels.
So look up the big hotels near the area...that should be a good start. :)
