Where do you find your vocal oneshots/FX?

My music needs vocals... and cowbell. :D
But more vocals. And I don't mean a fully fledged singing vocal riff, as that would require a real singer. But I do wonder where do you find those vocal bits and pieces for use in transitions, etc?
You know, the kind of voice oneshots that are usually sliced up and drowned in reverb for use as effects?
The only sample CD's I found so far that included vocal samples were either house oriented (you know, those screaming; "Baby, baybe... YEAHHH!!" :nervous: ) or made for that cheesy 160BPM "giving trance a bad name" music (if someone here actually makes that type of music, my apologies. Just my not my cup of tea).
So if anyone has a suggestion I'd appreciate it. I know there are prolly a few on any vocal/FX sample cd that are usable, but maybe there is a good sample CD I've missed? |

Yeah, most of the vocal sample CDs I've seen are primarily cheesy dance phrases. But, some of the ethnic ones may be more useful, since they aren't saying anything intelligible most of the time.
You could just download some a capellas, chop them up, and drown them in effects.
Or, just find a real singer to do it. |

I remember someone posting here awhile ago with a VST that actually had all sorts of the vocal oh's and ah's oh it. It was very well put together and pretty much had everything you needed to edit the preset samples. The only reason I didnt pick it up is because the price on it was absurd... like 400-500 bucks. But hey if you have the money to blow, then I am sure it would be worth it. |

The only thing that comes to mind is Vocaloid, which was a great idea, but turned out to be a text-to-speech app on steroids which took hours of tweaking for any decent results. At least that was my experience with it. |
