Anyone have any recommendations on some good TripHop CDs or compelations?

Some TripHop artists if you're not sure who that would include:
Bjork
Gus Gus
Jamiroquai
Kruder and Dorfmeister
Massive Attack
Portishead
Propellerheads
Sneaker Pimps
Thievery Corporation

Thanks in advance! :gsmile: :toothless

Noone?
I thought for sure there were people with some musical variety here...

Guess we're just all just hard-core (TrancE)addicts... :p

I love trip hop, but you named just about every artist I know. I have Lamb's debut CD, Bjork's Telegram, Massive Attack's Mezzanine and Snearker Pimps' Becoming X, but everything else is on my computer in mp3 format, so I can't really help you that much in terms of compilations.

You might check out Ministry of Sound's Chillout Session.

hey dude, i'm sure there are plenty of people in this forum with variety, we just don't check the boards every day :)

Yeah you got most of em, and if you don't mind getting a bit jazzy, maybe Bent and Morcheeba can be added to that list.

I was just about to mention Shadow. I have Entroducing, and What does your soul look like, both are great LPs.

I also like Tricky and Portishead. Some of Underworlds stuff is pretty good too (ie Beaucoup Fish), not sure if you would call it Trip Hop though.

I also have a CD by Lamb, but wasnt too impressed by it. Try searching for some tunes to see if you like them.

You may also want to try Morcheeba, though I havent heard anything by them.

Mono - Formica Blues
Andrea Parker - Kiss My Arp
United Future Organization - Bon Voyage, No Sound Is Too Taboo
Lamb - Lamb, What Sound
Death In Vegas - The Contino Sessions
...and Toronto's very own Esthero :D

Propellerheads is a big-beat techno group; Jamiroquai play funk/disco/acid-jazz. Neither of them play trip-hop.
