Hey Trance lovers
Looking for some feedback on this track. No strings attached just some genuine opinions.
Cheers in advance

This sounds really good. I wish more people mixed like this, though, then I wouldn't have much to comment. My only advice would be to place a high-pass filter on either the first kick or the first bass. I'm not sure which is causing it but if you look at the waveform or observe a spectrum analyser you can see an offset running through it. Just high-pass this with a sufficiently low frequency so as not to touch the actual audible content.
I don't like the snare roll sample all that much.
Also your mid instruments could do with more volume as the kick + hat combo is a bit too dominating.
Are you applying any master compression? It's amazing how you've managed to fit everything in. |

Thanks alot for the feedback man. Looking at the waveform it looks like the sub that's slightly down, thanks for spotting I could hear it but was scratching my head. I've still got EQ/FX to tune on the track and agree with the snare - looking for inspiration there.
But thanks - really appreciate you taking the time to listen. |

Really digging this - nice mixing, nice n clean without too many fx. Nice drive and quite a unique style that could do well for you.
All flows well and coheres. Like that deep deep kick - maybe hipass just slightly - dont lose the deepness.
The snare roll is wayy cheese mate - it's very generic old fashioned in a bad way! Make your own unique rolls. |

Cheers mate. I like the deepness of the track and agree the snare has to be got rid or changed in a radical way.
But thank you |

This track has a really oldskool feel to it (compounded by the snare roll as others have mentioned) Not that it's a negative thing, mind.
The overall mix sounds tight and clear - personally I'd add a bit more to the percussion to give it a bit more of a groove, but that's up to personal taste really.
Nice track. |

@Bren-F chuffed you feel the oldskool cos that's what influences me, really appreciate the feedback, I just need to try the tune on a little high and see what it does to me ;)
The snare has gone but I will defo play around with some percussion in the breakbeats to see how it feels.
Cheers fellas. Your suggestions can be heard here...

Either your kick or the first bass has an offset that needs to be high-passed. I know this is something I would take care of in the mastering but it can just as easily be handled in the mix.
Are you applying much compression within the mix or on the master? You've managed to maintain quite a consistent level... |

@atlantis - Is it because first kick has got a slight delay on it, is that what your hearing?
PS - using compression on a couple of selected channels.
Cheers for the insights and that finely tuned hearing though :) |

You can't hear an offset. Part of the mastering process is to ensure there is no offset (when the average level isn't -inf dB) and either your kick or first bass has one. |
