Holy . I didn't expect a single comment on this :eyespop:
Thanks for the feedback though, 'twas nothing more than a few minutes of wondering which effects would sound cool on a plain saw wave.
@ Richard - I know what you mean. Before I ever started doing any actual producing I played guitar, and one day while I was at Guitar Center I messed around with a Moog Voyager they had sitting out. I haven't played the guitar since then :D |

This is very dark indeed. Wont be dropping this any time soon but it's very trippy and messed up.
I know what you mean about guitars though. I used to be a bass player many years ago, but since I discovered the electronic stuff I never really looked back, that said, having an instrument based knowledge has helped me a lot.
Cheers

| Quite disorienting! Not something I'm going to listen to again. Cool FX and experimental mangling |

This sounds like an intro to an ambient album or something all you need are some odd vocals and then cue track 2 towards the end. This works as an overall sound in an album, not so much by itself if that makes sense. I don't make sense but, that's a different topic.
Interesting piece of music :D |

I found the overall piece rather random. Even music made to sound random usually has a sense of form and order. You start with the distorted stabs at the beginning then follow up with an ear shattering whitenoise atmosphere and then follow that with a bunch of pitch modulated synths. I think you need to really work on the sculpting and evolution of the sounds when making a soundscape piece. Right now , it just sounds like you went thru some presets.
I found you didn't really use the space available. Lots of midhigh to highs but little bass. Especially as the track hits the middle to the end. Try to make use of all the registers as you can add interesting elements without getting in the way of the other stuff and it won't sound so off kilt. |
