I voted in the Windsor election last week at pre-elections!

I just voted. Very excited on the outcome.

I love the fact that I vote at my old elementary school. It brings back awesome memories. And everything looks so small and tiny. I didn't realize it then but those were good days.

A very sad state indeed. I just hope people are smart enough to see through the BS and make the wise choice today.

looks like they didn't see anything besides the gravy train.

my congratulation to all of you who live in toronto.

Although I don't think Ford is the kind of guy built to be a mayor... it definitely sends a message to the provincial and federal government.

for now i'm very cautiously optimistic.

I'm going to assume it's the message is that taxpayers are tired of their money being wasted.

I'm pretty indifferent as to who won last night. I'm not a fan of either Ford or Smitherman.

That said, Torontonians, you've got your tax cuts - enjoy them. However; don't start whining when your road doesn't get plowed in a reasonable amount of time, or your local pool doesn't have a lifeguard, or you get nickle and dimed on every bag of garbage by the future private garbage collector. That's what you voted for - Ford made that very clear from day 1. You can't have tax cuts without significant service cuts.

I'm actually hoping that Ford can get council to back some of his pet projects. That way come the next election, Torontonians have some means of properly evaluating Ford's performance. If his approach works - great, if not - turf the fat bastard.

When it comes to the garbage collection charge for too many bags, GOOD!!!!

Maybe the lazy Torontonians will learn to separate their trash!!!

thats already happening! But its due to bloated salaries and millers huge hiring spree. Ford is going to cut the BS and return to funding the basic stuff that has suffered due to the focus being on frills and waste.

Nickled and dimed on garbage? You are aware of the new garbage tax miller brought in a few years ago right? The one based on what size bin you buy?

Etobicoke has private companies picking up their garbage, and there is no service interupptions and there are no complaints that I have found with the residents there about the money they pay for the service.
