ive just got myself a little box which I will be calling a studio.
I don't have the dimensions but its not that big of a room.
im hoping it will do the job. Im just about to buy some bass traps.
I know some of you have had experience with these so what do you think of these.

this is what ive found on ebay

I don't want to go out and buy expensive ones as im strapped for cash for the next little while.
is there anything in particular I should be looking for in a bass trap ?

If you're strapped for cash you realize you can just make them yourself right?
Theres tons of tuts on youtube if you're curious.

Def make them yourself

You don't want THIS to break your budget. You can get away with spending $40-50 dollars per panel if you are rather careful with your spending. Build quality is obviously not going to be par with what you buy (could be tho if you try) but ultimately they will do the same thing. Keep in mind we are not talking about getting the most accurate results here, it is still a home studio on a budget.

I just read somewhere that making that kind of stuff yourself doesnt give the desired result. But this could have been said by the companies themselves lol

i made my own, i bought owens corning 703 from a local supply house, they had a minimum of 12 sheets (2 x 4) and it cost me $175. it was perfect though because, my ceilings were 8ft so i made 4 traps there were 2 ft wide and 8 ft high for all 4 corners. That took 8 sheets, i had 4 left over and put them at adjacent walls and they completely changed my new studio room for the better. i had a really big rock engineer at my studio and he was thoroughly impressed.

so i made mine w/ 1" x 2" stock and wrapped it in burlap.

madforbrad i don't care. :)
