Well I will be defensive, because they don't look like crap - and it was hard work. I'd like to see Ian's work. And no, we didn't use stencils. Anyone can get a stencil and do something that isn't their own idea - where's the fun in that?

I want to cover myself in black goop of some sort and go as the gulf oil spill. See if I can get a fake bird to attach to me or something. I'm just not sure on what I can use to look really grimy and not up my skin for a month.
A co-worker urged my to put black food colouring in Crisco - I agree that it would probably suffice for effect and malleability, but it would do horrendous things to my eyes/face/skin/hair. Any ideas?
Barring that, I will just get a black cape and slick my hair back. Bampire.
