Hahah

I just read his interview on DJ Mag and he talks about how he's over Trance and he's all house now.

"The biggest thing to happen for me this year is my change in style. I play more eclectic, much more house-driven, and like, indie pop music. The whole trance part is deleted from my set now. It is completely gone. It was a revolutionary thing for me."

"I just didn't like the old trancey sounds anymore," he continues. "It just all started to sound the same to me. Already in Ibiza last year, I had started to play like that, and I saw that the people were up for everything, and it felt great. I'm still learning, experimenting with where to drop which tracks. But everyone's very supportive."

I'm pretty sure that anybody who actually knows and loves trance was over tiesto long before he was over trance :p

Clearly a new era of EDM awaits us

Really thread worthy stuff.

Incoherence, his last track "Young lions" is trance and obviously he still has a lot of reminiscences of trance. His remix from Pendulum - The Island is still trancey and so on many of it's productions.

You lost a spot, stop crying.

I'm sure he's still a lot of people's favorite trance DJ.

I believe it's because of this man. He was working with him during his 'trance period' (1998-2002) and he hasn't left the building yet.

I read it could be his new Allure track for the upcoming Allure album:

The video is gone, but I found one to download at a side I couldn't read a single word. Very trancy, long melody, think I like the 54 seconds I was able to listen.

Can anyone post any tracklists from fairly recent Tiesto sets?

I haven't followed him for ages now, I am interested to see exactly what his sets comprise of if he has removed trance completely from his playlists...

Better call it men because i think he has a whole roster of producers under his direction, Richard Durand now sounds like Tiësto used to sound, there's some ghost writing for sure.

Most lovely thing of the interview is this:

Style: House
Best known for: Being a trance giant

:eyespop:

I haven't seen live track lists but his club life is House- 4/5 trance tracks (sometimes uplifting bangers O.o) a guestmix and after that all is electro house.

If you take a look at his 2002-2003 sets there's hard techno some times... what a change.

Actually there's a thread going about Tiesto's sets from that period. You can check it out as well http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...threadid=576356
