Hey just so you know I am listneing to the first version, you didn't specify which one you liked better so I just went with the first one. firstly I like how you did not maximize your song to death like many people do. This still has some punch, yes you have to turn it up louder than most tracks but that is a VERY good thing. Don't listen to people saying your tracks should be louder. If you match the volume of your track and theirs with the volume knob theirs will sound very weak in comparison.
Now I REALLY do not want to sound too negative but I want to give you some feedback. The first two minutes of this is well rather boring, not a whole lot happens. When the vocals come in it is much needed and adds a whole new dimension to the track. I would edit that begining and make it more intersting, maybe doing some different things with the drums or something like that. Also mix up the synths and all, not just the same thing. But like I said after 2:30 the tracks is very nice and gets more intesting as it goes on.
Anytime you say this is you are new people are going to givee you a hard time over your track but thank them because negative feedback is VERY helpful even though it can hurt. Sorry if sounding preachy, not my intention.
I love the vocals and after 2:30 the track is super, maybe a little too much reverb everywhere. I think if you can hear the reverb that is not so good, I would use enough to make whatever part you are using it on sound better but not where you can "hear" it in the song so much. If you play it seperate you will probably hear the verb a lot bit in the song it should sound natural in my opinion.
Nice job especially for being a new producer! |
