Did anyone else see that chick in the penguin costume running around on stage during Lawler's set? Hahah!

and the bouncers slam her back down into the crowd :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:

Likewise! :) You are no longer a blurry image with a red circle around it in my head :p

This was definitely the best halloween ever!

We arrived around 11:30 to a HUGE line - luckily it went by really fast and we were in JUST before 12 (Lawler time). It was really fun to see the tour bus and watch him walk into the club - built up a lot of hype. His red sneakers were awesome.

His set started off great but soon I found myself having a hard time getting into his set. He may have just lost me or it may have been the the DJ whore beside me who kept begging people on the stage to let her up or the drug dealer who took her spot once she actually made it up. Once all distractions were gone I found myself completely swept away and fell into my 'I love Lawler trance'. I was super pumped to hear Italoboyz 9/96 - Ive been obsessed with this track since DEMF and I was slightly confused to hear Luis Conte twice when it was only a 2.5 hour set. His set left me completely lawlerfied as always and in a complete state of bliss. As much as I was excited for my first Carl Cox experience I really could care less - I had heard what I wanted to hear and my interest in partying started to fade. I really liked the beginning of Cox set but had a really hard time caring. I need to give Cox another chance when its just him headlining. Same thing happened to me at BEB after being blown away by Ferry Corsten - I lost all interest in other DJs.

It was also a really nice change to be in KH. And I was surprised that we were able to be at the very front and still have lots of room to dance.

I'm going to assume it's because you were too busy with the PDA with your bf :wtf: :haha:

Carlo Lio in that large room... so cool. You could tell how happy he was up there, and the crowd was loving it. Big props to Mr. Lio on his continuing success.

I really enjoyed Lawler on Saturday night. He was so into his set and not just playing and staring out at the crowd. He really appreciates Toronto and you can tell. The first part of his set was completely jammin'. He kind lost me a bit with the repetitivness just like he did in June in the main room, but he picked it back up and had the room on fire. The transition into Carl was terrible though, as Cribby had mentioned. That "damn electro song" he played again! That track needs to be retired already!

Carl was decent, but not my favourite I've seen him. He played really housey this time around, not enough techno. In no means did I not like his set, he had the crowd interacting and people moving the whole time as Carl can do, but it wasn't my favourite set I've seen him play.

Successful Successful Hallowe'en 2010. Very happy with this weekend's adventures.
