I honestly don't see that happening because both events have a 2am curfew. Unless he plays in LA at 7pm or 8pm, and only does a 1-2 hr set, than he MIGHT be able to make it to SD by 12-12:30. SD is at least a 2hr drive from the Sports Arena without traffic. Unless, they have helicopters. hehehe

No its not, perfect time to head to the Avalon. ;)

Exactly. Works out pretty good for me since Markus will probably have to play early anyways to head up to SF. Since Digweed is playing an extended set, leaving TAO at 2 or earlier will still leave plenty of time to enjoy Digweed. :)

Exactly what I'm thinking. Except, the last time I did this, the bouncers at Avalon were being dicks and wouldn't let me in even though I had a hard presale ticket. They said that the ticket had already expired since I arrived near 2am. I made a big deal about it and asked to speak to a manager who did let me in, but it was a hassle. I'm afraid the same thing will happen again.

Avalon should do what Space does and sell past 2am tickets for this show.

i really hate how it ends at 2am instead of 4am like it used to be, it ruins the mood i want to party til the morning.

What other options are there for good 18+ events if TAO isn't worth attending?

That doesn't sound too cool. I was worried about the crowd of people coming from other places that end at 2 and I didn't event think about the ticket time thing. Hmmmmm, I might leave TAO earlier to be safe?

leave tao earlier? geez, the end time of 2am is early enough. skip tao altogether.

This is whats wrong with us. We complain but don't really do anything about it. To me all the lineups seem decent but they aren't impressing me much. I don't know, maybe I am getting to old?? I keep seeing the same names over and over every weekend. TAO isn't anything special anymore. I am thinking of staying home and hosting a block party, or at least have the permission of my neighbors and letting them know the party will end super early. Unless there is a party that will end at 4 or 6. 2am bleh. Woody what is your club doing and what time are they closing the doors??

? It starts at 6PM. I am assuming Markus will go on early to make it to SF to ring in the NY there so I will have plenty of time to enjoy TAO if I get there at 8PM or earlier and leave at 1AM to head over to Avalon. On regular nights when I go out, I usually get there around 11PM and if the place closes at 4AM that's only 5 hours, so it's like any other night out time wise IMO. I don't see the point of skipping TAO altogether and missing out on Markus and other acts they might announce.

Haha You don't wanna go to my club on NYE. Trust me. , I don't wanna go on NYE. It's mostly live Bandas! I'm not down with that. Lots of hot chicks, but I'll pass. The good thing, on NYE the club stays open past 2am, usually until 4am.
