Hey, they event recommend DUI checkpoints at the exits, and say worry about the checkpoint more than people getting home in a timely fashion.
Interesting. |

thats a cool idea. but would that mean the event would have to end at 1AM or to allow everyone to "cool" off or at 2AM where everyone gets to stay till 3AM? |
i think everyone gets to stay on the venue until 3AM, because it says with "soft music" and "lights on" |

yeah i saw that too - not a bad idea either.... i never understand why when they do DUI checkpoints they end at 2am usually.... seems like you'd catch a lot more people at 2-3am. or maybe just go sit outside of the local taco bell at 130am :D |

So if you're high you get a free ride home.
"Provide safe transportation for attendees removed from the venue due to
possession of illegal identification, and substance use and intoxication.iii " |

forgot about that one....
honestly it seems like there are a lot of good ideas in there and they just have the safety of the attendees in mind... |

And who said it was free?
I do like the free earplugs paragraph, I can't count the number of people who were covering their ears during Digweed & Axwell's set..they liked the music or they would have left, but it's reasonable to want to be able to hear them again next time! :)
Even "earplugs available at all bars for $1/pair" would be a start... |

Haha... Imagine your favorite DJ is playing, you're peaking and you're in your ultimate euphoria. Than all of the sudden you hear.....
"BIIIIING... Attention K-Mart Shoppers... For your safety, we'd like to remind you that ecstasy is evil and can up with your brain. This has been a public service announcement brought to you by LA County Department of Health in conjunction with the LAPD & Insomniac."
"Establish conditions and a plan where the promoter in conjunction with public
safety and medical personnel can announce or play pre-recorded messages on
safety or health issues to the attendees."

Those are some good guidelines, lets just make sure that they actually follow through with them. Like I said in the past, it was very evident Go Ventures was following them during Monster Massive which made MM very enjoyable.
They need to bring back Dance Safe. I liked what they did a lot. They actually tried to help you instead of getting you in trouble. |

food for thought:
what if we had something like an EDM Event Commision or something like that.
Making sure that all EDM events were up to par or standards rather then a city council that had no clue what the music was all about.
just thinking out loud |
