Blurb: Ostgut Ton releases this compilation of music crafted from field recordings made inside the two Berlin clubs Berghain and Panorama Bar. The concept and original recordings were made by the Berlin based producer Emika. Over a period of two months Emika created the recordings in the clubs while they were closed to the public and edited them into a library of sounds. The library was then given to all the Ostgut Ton artists, but also to club associates like DJ Pete aka Substance, Dinky, Cassy, Margaret Dygas, Ryan Elliott and Scuba using his SCB alias, to make music with. This release marks the celebration of the label's five year anniversary.

| A few serious gems in here. Considering ordering this one. The CD box ofcourse. The vinyl box is a bit too expensive. |

ah ok.
Can anyone pick out some highlights from this tracklist? I was disappointed with the first 8 or 10 samples. Nothing really sounded like anything that Dettmann hasnt already exausted on previous ventures. |

Judging from the samples:
Magnificent: Fiedel - Doors To Manual, Cassy - Never Give Up On A Mood Swing, Murat Tepeli feat Elif Bicer - Hold On, Prosumer - Daybreak, SCB - Down Moment, Len Faki - Kraft Und Licht
Decent: Ben Klock - Wolf, Shed - Boom Room, Dinky - Twelve To Four, Nick Hoppner - ISP, Steffi - My Room, Margaret Dygas - For Five, Ryan Elliot - Abatis, Tama Sumo - Iron Glance
Functional: Emica - Cooling Room, Marcel Dettmann - Scourer, Norman Nodge - Start Up
Conclusion: Certainly 14 and even possibly 17 out of 23 tracks are playable (for me). Must-by if you know that the price of the CD box is the same as the price for 2 ordinary vinyls. Even the vinyl box is worth the money if you can afford it. |

Nick Hoppner - ISP is sitting well with me this morning as I take another look.
Shed Boom Room sounds like it would do exactly what the title states.
Doing a box set is a great idea, but an even better idea would be to sell the box with the first record, and then release all subsequent records as singles so that the buyer can pick and choose which ones they want, and if they choose to complete the box they can do that as well. 75 plus shipping is a tough one even though some of the tracks would be very nice to have. |

Well if the music is good, better to guide the buyer into the boxset instead of individual singles. The buyer is fickle and they might discover the greatness of each track at another point. So its better they have it all at once for something like this. I like what they did. |

Ya well the tracks arent great, nor do they have lasting power. The same thing that goes on with the cocoon comps will happen here. A few nice ones mixed in with a bunch of samey sounding forgettables. Just my humble o. They limited it to 1500 but would be lucky to move 300 |
