1st off, if he's contracted to the Guv (i.e gets paid for event photography) then he's not the owner of the photos, the club owns these photos, the photog can publish the work for promotion/marketing but he's transferred his ownership to the club who's ordered the work.
If there's no contract (i.e no money paid), Jason is the owner.
2nd ,He can only sue him if this guy has made financial gain (which you have to prove @ court).
The only thing you can do now is ask him to take down all infringed published photos and give him a stern note in writing, if he doesn't comply or repeats it again then you have proof and can go after him. |
actually the agreement was that i still own the images. they are given a "license" to use my images for whatever promotional tool they wish (their website, facebook, etc). |

i dont care if he decided to use my pics WITH the proper watermarks on them but the fact that he clearly stole my photos and put his own watermark on them to make it look like his own is just plain wrong.
and putting his face on fab's head so his buddies can think he is actually djing at a proper venue? lame.
what about the pic where he photochopped his dj booth in to the guv main room?

I do recall that! A situation that explodes into nothing! Except for a few that milked it for something it wasn't!
A) I'm a Top 40/Commercial House DJ ** COMMERICAL *** (I don't pretend to be something I'm not).
B) It was a error upload (It removed when noted and re uploaded correctly).
C) No one offered any money to myself to play footwork
D) I wouldn't play footwork - Not my genre to spin!
E) I personally talked with the DJ In question and all was good!
F) Yes I received death threats!!!!! And yes Someone was charged for harassment to my workplace!
With that said this guys deal is not similar in anyway! Cheers for trying to again milk something that wasn't!!! ;) |
