i know
still, to date, the least amount of people i've seen at ruby skye.
mentioned this in the nye G&D/ATB thread.
if dresden was to show up this friday i dont think the attendees would die of excitement.

Fans have been begging for a reunion and Dave Dresden and Josh Gabriel heard them loud and clear.

you're kidding me right? this is the promoter in you correct?
Josh gabriel had ruby skye the least filled i've EVER seen and it was during their mardi gras theatrical weekend on a spundae night. regardless of what dj was also in town, the place was ghost town central.
and from my recollection josh is the one who actually did most of the positive contribution in the duo. |

That weekend had PvD on Friday, the Skills etd.LOVE on Saturday, then the Spundae anniversary on the Sunday...all easily overshadowing any regular club night going on in the city.
Certainly the biggest parties of each night, and with each night having such a big party and most people not being able to afford to go to all of them, they obviously had to make choices that weekend and one-offs will often win over regular nights.
I think you're reading way too much into it. |

Ruby has booked josh solo at least 3 times now so it's not like he can't pull on his own, otherwise why would they book him again after such a supposedly bad night (which had a very good explanation from Dave)?
Still, I think G&D is way bigger than the sum of its parts. If they were to do a reunion show in SF people would be coming out of the woodwork for it. I know a buddy of mine is thinking about heading down to their LA show on NYE, and if they were in SF I'd probably roll out as well. |
