Craig B - So High

New House track ive been working on, i half half wrote lyrics for this which a female vocalist i'm in contact with will have a go with.. So this is the instrumental sample for now, different in a way to what i normally do, ive tried going for the hands int he air synth break, which in time will have the vocal i'm writing over the top of it.

Any feedback good or bad is worth throwing in, i will appreciate it

Thanks

THIS IS THE EDITED VERSION THAT A FEW THAT HAVE ALREADY REVIEWED THIS TRACK ASKED FOR .. INCLUDING MORE SYNTH WORK FROM THE BREAK ADDED INTO THE MAIN PART OF THE TRACK, AND ALSO A BIGGER BASSLINE TO COMPLIMENT IT ALL

You got my hopes up for a massive, massive blue-ball drop. The song was building and you've got this brilliant synth work and then, what do ya give me?

If this song were a woman, it would be a coquette! :p

Nice mixing and the groove's a good start.

Working on it right now - please check your SC.

Thanks for the feedback man! Haha ... Ideally for you, what would sound better coming in after the main break?

I'm still open to ideas in respect to rearranging the track after the break

Hello mate, appreciate your kind words as always!

Does the track work for you after the main break? Only because a few are sceptical on that part.

I personally like it, but its just not me who listens!

Thanks again man!

This track is damned awesome and perfect for my tastes. I like the fact you kept the break synths really dry - nice touch. The the drop into the beats again was top notch - I love it when it all goes stripped back that way and yet it has fantastic proper dance grove.

When the hats come in it made my rectal muscles move, it's that good.

Pure dance, where can I get a copy man?

Will definitely run it/check it again and let you know (my opinion only) my friend.

Cheers.

Hey Craigb1 - remember this is only my opinion/vision for this track - I would add layer mid freq bass line (like this tha__tha__tha_tha__tha__tha__tha_tha) to get this instant hooking groove at this part right after your break - this would be perfect my friend.

Cheers

More of the melodies you had going on in the break while fitting into the beat you've got playing. You could even slowly build into it. Whatever you come up with, I'm definitely looking forward to that finished product.

I like the track.

Really cool front half and could be an awesome build out. The only thing for me is the post break feels like its from a different track idea. It really doesn't link that great back to the front part even with the cool progression near the end. That is the only time I lose the track identity. Keep it up man.

For an instrumental to work, you need to remember that if the track is focused on a vocal, you will need to replace the vocal's "hole" in the track through some sort of instrument, be it pad or synth. I think you've got an amazing plate to work with man, it just needs that little tweak.

Richard once its complete i will send it over to you mate! I think i'm going to rejig a few things in there first.

Darius thanks for your input mate, i'm back on my production pc tonight so i will have alook at bringing in a mid bass and see if that sets the track off some more...

I think you have a good point Eddie in regards to bringing more of what i had going in the break into the main section of the track, thats something i will defintely be looking at tonight, without a doubt.

Darthseph - Thanks for your feedback its really appreciated... And post break i think your right i will be having a look at that tonight, and as Eddie mentioned maybe adding some more elements in from the break instead. Thanks for the heads up on the instrumental issue, i wont be having an instrumental version as such, this was literally the version before i add the vocals, but thanks for your tips.

Question to everyone who has listened. Can this track work without vocals? Hmmmm...

At first I was like =|
And then I was like =)
And then I was like =D
And then I was like =DDDDDDD
And then I was like OOO___OOOOOO
But then I was like =!

It builded and builded and builded and I got so excited for some huge, epic drop but then it just kinda... happened ><

Sounds great none-the-less :)
